 Industrial Visit to Kalyani Technoforge Limited by Symbiosis Skills & Professional University Students



Pune, 27 Mar 25 – Students from the School of Automobile Engineering, Symbiosis Skills & Professional University (SSPU), recently participated in an insightful industrial visit to Kalyani Technoforge Ltd. (Thermal Processing Division), located in Ranjangaon MIDC. This visit offered students an enriching learning experience, exposing them to cutting-edge industrial technologies and advanced manufacturing processes.



During the visit, the students were provided with valuable insights into the operations of vacuum furnaces, heat treatment processes, and material testing laboratories. They were able to gain a deeper understanding of the crucial role these technologies play in the production of high-quality components. The visit gave students the unique opportunity to observe the sophisticated heat treatment solutions used across a range of industries, including Automotive, Construction, Tooling, Mining, Aerospace, Defence, and Railways.


The tour also offered a closer look at how Kalyani Technoforge Ltd. applies advanced techniques to meet the diverse requirements of these high-demand industries. Students were able to engage with industry experts, who shared their expertise on thermal processing, materials testing, and quality assurance protocols.


Reflecting on the experience, Sumit Dubal, Professor, School of Automobile Engineering mentioned, "This visit provided our students with invaluable exposure to real-world industrial applications. It has significantly contributed to their understanding of the manufacturing processes and technologies used in industries that shape the modern world."


The visit was a great success in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, offering students a first hand look at industry practices and innovative solutions. It also underscored the importance of collaboration between academia and industry for fostering talent and enhancing student learning.
